This one struck me as particularly funny – it addresses the question of "bilingualism in the Rio Grande Valley" (i.e. southern Texas) – an issue that has seen much attention in the history of sociolinguistics. But of course, this particular satirical approach reaches quite strange results. See if you can detect their fallacious assumptions.

How sad that bilingualism is so rare in the Rio Grande Valley. I have a good friend with whom I would like to spend more time. Yet her second language is Spanish, whereas mine is German. I had considered the Rio Grande Valley to be a place where we could spend time together without language difficulties. But I guess not.
Let me know if you find any data on Spanish-English bilingualism on the island of Föhr proximate to the German-Denish border. I don’t know what other fallback we might have in lieu of the Rio Grande Valley.
It’s really a shame that all those previous studies of the Rio Grande Valley we so tilted by their preconceptions!
