I grew a radish.

Hurrah! Now you can say your greenhouse was successful! I mailed you some seeds, did you get them yet? Also, did you get the masks?

Naturally, I am taken aback by the possessiveness of your statement “I grew a radish.” As I see it, you contributed less to the growth of that radish than it now has to yours.
This all reminds me of a famously wise statement about parenting … “Your children are not _your_ children.”

      Hmm.
I see your point. Still, I think it’s fair to grant myself at least some agency in the appearance of the radish.
I paid someone to clear away the rainforest using heavy machinery, and put in the open, level spot that receives good sunlight, last year.
I bought a greenhouse kit, had it shipped here, in February. I think it was made-in-China. My brother and I assembled the greenhouse.
I bought some radish seeds online, and they were shipped here from Oregon.
I made my own potting soil, mixing ash, local peat (low in nutrients), sawdust, fertilizer, sand…
I planted the seeds, and watered them every day.
I believe that the emergence of this radish, in this location, at this time, was something I “did” at least at some phenomenological levels.
But it’s a bit of a spontaneous-seeming miracle, too – like all seeds growing into actual beings.

Yes, I do certainly agree that such a radish was extremely unlikely to grow at that location at this time of year without a suitable environment having been provided by you. Well done, although I dare not think of the energy invested into providing that radish such an environment as opposed to importing a grown radish from more suitable climates. Quite a carbon footprint for that first radish, but hopefully many more will follow with other veggies.
As for the growth per se, Stevie Wonder once wrote a very nice song about it. I particularly like the humming at the end. It was that humming that convinced me that I needed singing lessons.
